Black Fork Bottoms Hunting Preserve-Ashland County Park

NaP-OH-1305 NaP-OH-2450 Nap-OH-1417Black Fork Bottoms Hunting Preserve is on the border of the Ashland-Richland County here in north central Ohio. The top photo is what it usually looks like from May to the first frost, usually in October. From then on it looks like the middle photograph, and if you reach there soon enough, the water is pristine and clear like above, although you’ll notice the algae already starting to grow on it, and this was made on the first day of spring a couple of years ago. By the way, the words Hunting Preserve are in the parks name, but it’s only for hunting from the end of September to the beginning of January and a couple of weeks in April & May.
